I have an person in Texas interested in buying my Taylor 514-C, which I must sell. One spouse is insecure about sending the $ before getting the guitar, so they think COD is a win - win. I needed the money this week to pay mortgage etc. Anyone have any advice, this is a time sensitive issue that needs resolved today. TIA |

I sold a Taylor on Ebay in November. Paypal payment, shipped immediately. I don't know how you found your buyer and Ebay and Paypal get their cut. My suggestion will cost you a little but will legitimize status of the seller for the buyer. Put it up on Ebay with one picture, put up a BUY it now and bingo, your buyer has access through a known entity and can see your seller percentages and you his. This can take all of thirty to 45 minutes, and ship today. Just an idea. Paypal charges about 3% and close to the same for selling it on Ebay. Regardless of the charges, it is timely and works for both seller and buyer. Good luck with your situation, Bruce |

Bruce offers some very sound advice. Ebay offers protection to both the seller and buyer. If you do the buy it now option and tell the buyer about it, the auction will pretty much close as soon as it's posted. I think that's the best way to go. It will probably be cheaper than COD fees. |

You can also list it as a Private sale by invitation only. Only send one invitation and do a 1-Day auction. Save yourself the buy it now fee. -j. |
